ENHANCE YOUR FOREGROUNDS

One way to turn a boring image into an exciting, eye-catching one is to focus attention on the foreground -- what's in front of your subject. Instead of composing a photo which features a dull stretch of grass or pavement, try adding a prop in the foreground -- maybe an artistically placed hat or a single rose. Or, recompose your shot to include an existing prop such as a pot of freshly picked flowers or a brightly colored umbrella. These spots of color can make the difference between a shot that says "blah" and one that shouts "Bingo!"
