SHARING PHOTOS It's one thing to capture a good stock image, but another to keep it around for generations. Eastman KODAK, for their interest and yours has been studying the archiving of photography' since 1949. In 1975 they founded the world's first institutional photo conservation department. They now train students and conservators. The George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, in Rochester NY, the world's oldest museum of photography, is where all this happens. They were recently awarded a $2.18 million grant by the Mellon Foundation to step up the work. The grant will allow the hiring of more workers.
