WHO’S SMILING NOW?

The 90’s have been bountiful years for the technology experts of the 70s who are now the millionaires of the 90’s. The industries they created account for the expenditure of hundreds of billions annually. And the Wall Street Journal reports that an average home in Silicon Valley goes for $394,238.

These folks also, in all their unwisdom, created a colossal error of technological judgement: Y2K. If the Millennium Bug (Year 2000) cannot be fixed by the techies in time, they will not be remembered for their millions - but for the disruption Y2K caused in millions of businesses, homes, and lives.
