VERTICAL Vs. HORIZONTAL

Say that you're shopping for birthday decorations for your child's upcoming party. Would you visit a supermarket, or a specialty shop for party decorations? Since the occasion is a special event, you probably wouldn't be satisfied with the limited selection you'd find at a grocery store. Apart from fresh produce and packaged foods, a supermarket has a broad variety of product categories, with a limited selection in each (horizontal). The specialty shop, on the other hand, has a deep selection of one category (vertical). You'd be willing to drive an extra mile to a specialty store.

If you can supply a deep selection of photos in a particular category, you'll find photobuyers coming back to you time and again when they need that specialized category.
