Mikael Karlsson is the headmaster of Stock Photography 101. He is a photojournalist who has sold his work widely in his native Sweden and in Europe for over ten years prior to coming to the United States in 1998. As a Swedish correspondent he covered a myriad of stories and issues, from war in the Middle East and Northern Ireland to social justice issues in Russia and Poland, human interest stories, features, and daily news in Europe and Australia.

Currently he is the US correspondent for eight Swedish magazines, and a featured speaker at the Department of Photojournalism at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Mr. Karlsson works with stock photography for various American magazines on a regular basis.
